Parents will earn 1 point for each hour of volunteering in any capacity, including the
following activities:
Greeter
Reading to students
Assisting with bulletin boards
Photocopying for main office
Answering phone in main office
Media Center assistance
Counseling Center assistance
Supervision during dismissal
Supervision during breakfast or lunch
Cafeteria line assistance
Custodial assistance
Volunteering during school dances, school carnivals, and Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night
Preparing for special programs (i.e. assemblies, etc.)
*The DCSD requires that that all volunteers participate in the School Volunteer Mandated Reporter Training. This ten minute training will be held at Freedom Middle. Parents must complete the training before parental involvement points are tallied.
